ARTIST BIO
In my practice, I piece together my own story through deconstructing generational memory and material culture: those remembered things with long legacies of meticulous practice. My work surrounds the theme of historical origin; the formation of traditions; and more importantly, storytelling. I focus on exploring the process of upholding culture through these memories in order to connect my Afro-Bermudian heritage, immortalizing narratives and drawing connections between my past and present through painting and sculpture.

I am just beginning my journey as a practicing artist. Fortunately I have been able to participate in some collaborative projects, group shows and mural commissions. I am also an experienced art educator, looking to continue my studies in education. If you would like to find out more about my process, or how to purchase and commission works from me, please feel free to get in touch.
